Functie

Being the Operations Manager EMEA, you are responsible for the colorant production & laboratory facilities located in Sittard (NL), Maastricht (NL), Vantaa (FI) and Johannesburg (SA). Your span of control includes manufacturing, logistics, maintenance, engineering, and quality control (in total 125 FTE). Your focus lays on integrating these plants by developing standardized working methods. To get there, plants need to further develop its capabilities in terms of organization, workforce training and leadership. As well, improving collaboration of teams within plants and also the collaboration between plants on a regional level. Altogether, becoming more flexible to get to the optimal use of resources, production skills, quality, engineering and maintenance. This way obtaining maximum productivity and quality at the lowest cost through the implementation of best management practices. Furthermore, you collaborate with other departments such as Finance, HR, R&D, EHS, Purchasing, Logistics, Planning etcetera. You report to the VP Global Operations.

Functie-eisen

You are an experienced international manufacturing operations manager, able to motivate and bring people together, to organize and bring structure. You are able to keep track of several plants. You see opportunities for a more efficient and flexible way of producing on a regional level. Therefore, you have broad business knowledge, also understanding the financial outcome of your decisions. You are a strong communicator who shifts naturally between reporting on KPI’s and communicating with the VP, collaborating with various departments within the group, and interacting with Plant Managers and Supervisors on the operational level. Having knowledge about and experience with chemical processes, batch manufacturing processes (mixing process) and business seasonality is a plus. You are proficient in Dutch and English and have a relevant preferably academic educational background.
