Our client, Cordstrap is the global market and thought leader in the field of protection techniques and cargo security: eliminating the risks associated with the transport of goods in and around industrial environments to protect products, people and the environment. Cordstrap's protection engineers work directly and intensively with global industrial customers to assess, anticipate and mitigate risk and operationalize, measure and continuously improve impact. This allows their customers to grow safely and sustainably because of the Cordstrap expertise.

Cordstrap's head office is located in Venray, in the Netherlands, where the global management and the European regional office of the Cordstrap Group are also located. In addition, the company has two other regional offices in Chicago and Dubai, plus more than twenty sales offices and distribution centers around the world to support and serve customers and their dependents in more than 60 countries. The Group has production plants in the Netherlands, Dubai and Turkey and employs a total of 550 employees.

Cordstrap was founded in 1965 by Fred van Eck. The current CEO Brad Tribble, of American descent, leads the organization. Brad has been working and living in the Netherlands for over 10 years and has been with the Cordstrap organization since 2012.

Cordstrap faces an important challenge in the further development of the global HR organization and associated processes. As a Global HR Operations Manager, you bear the responsibility for establishing and executing a modern, international HR operational platform. You will also be instrumental in implementing and refining the changes and improvements within the HR organization. Furthermore, your primary responsibilities include the development and optimization of HR resources managing an international team of six HR professionals. In this position you will work closely and report directly to Joost Quist, the Chief Financial Officer.

Within Cordstrap, HRM is seamlessly integrated into line management. In your HR role, you ensure concrete, up-to-date HR processes and working methods. In your advisory and leadership capacity, you oversee HR improvement initiatives, ensuring that line managers can operate at their best and with efficiency.
You define realistic short, medium, and long-term objectives and transform them into measurable outcomes.

Through your “agile, goal-oriented, personal and convincing” approach, you will take Cordstrap to the next phase where you will be able to obtain the trust of employees.

In the upcoming years, Cordstrap's HR objectives will concentrate on advancing the organization further. This includes establishing a salary house, refining on- and off-boarding processes, aligning employment conditions, fostering a positive work environment, promoting outstanding employment practices, standardizing administrative procedures, creating a compensation framework for employees, and integrating HR systems, instruments, and tools throughout the organization.

The ideal Global HR Operations Manager has professional and intellectual skills at the level of a Bachelor’s degree holder (HBO+) and relevant HR management experience within an international environment. You are proactive, solid, an improver, and strive for ambitious goals. You know how to convince the organization of the possibilities and limitations within the HR spectrum and are goal- and result-oriented.

You have a broad subject knowledge in the field of HRM instruments and have a track record of successfully designing and implementing operational HRM policies. You thrive best in a change-oriented and dynamic high-paced environment and you preferably have affinity and experience with HR topics such as Compensation Benefits, job and salary structures, administrative on- offboarding, HR policies compliance and assessment systems.

You have a passion for the HR profession, you are energetic and have excellent communication skills and a strong personality. As a knowledgeable, skilled and connecting HR professional with a high conceptual thinking capacity, you know how to involve the organization in the desired HR-changes and leave the implementation where it should be, thanks to your convincing and hands-on mentality.

Due to the international nature of the organization, you have excellent written and oral skills in both Dutch and English. You are willing to travel internationally (10-20%). In short, you implement the HR structure and you are proactive, detail-oriented and always looking for ways to improve processes and increase efficiency. You take the lead and advise and support where necessary to achieve the objectives.
